MICHAEL VAN GERWEN is determined to ‘put on a show’ when the Unibet Premier League visits Germany for the first time on Thursday.
The world number one has expressed his excitement ahead of his clash with World Grand Prix champion Daryl Gurney at Berlin’s Mercedes-Benz Arena.
“It is going to be special,” said defending champion Van Gerwen, who has two wins from his first three matches this season.
“I am even more motivated because I always like to start with a win in a new place. I have won a lot of tournaments in Germany but this will be the biggest ever night of Darts in one of the World’s biggest places for darts.
“The fans in Germany have really been good to us Darts players by coming to the European Tour events in their thousands and I think it is important to repay them. I want to win and I want to win in style.”
