MICHAEL VAN GERWEN joined the Dutch national football squad for an evening of Darts on Monday.
The world number one was invited by the Netherlands team to provide a masterclass, while rubbing shoulders with his homeland’s top footballers and manager Ronald Koeman.
Van Gerwen was cheered on by legendary striker Robin Van Persie recently when he clinched the Unibet Premier League title.
He was also presented with a signed shirt with his name and the number one on the back as a memento.
The two-time World Champion will represent his country at this weekend’s World Cup of Darts alongside Raymond Van Barneveld as the Dutch duo bid to defend their title.
